fades both in and out, chroma keyer and changed the aspect ration to 16:9 (4:3 is the standard ratio on Sony Vegas) and then panned and cropped. Oh also, there were a few green screen issues so i had to mask around it also. I think it turned out okay. Looks very natural. It also goes nicely with the colour correction.
In the opening titles there are images and videos the house and where the opening is set. This image has several overlays, vfx and green screens. On the right is a screenshot of what the final shot looks like of the house. I think it looks great personally and would look great in my horror opening.
The red lettering at the front of the word looks good also, as red and white are conventional colours of horror.
Here is a screenshot of me editing a polaroid picture. I add an image that is pan/cropped added with a few colour corrects, and then is rotated and opacity set to approximately 55%. The polaroid idea was taken from a film opening that i watched when i was looking at existing products, i cant remember the name of the film now but it was great idea. I did not copy it, because the opening titles were of polaroid pictures being put under a light with images that were old of the family in the film. I simply took the idea and innovated it to put into my titles.
Here is a screenshot of what the polaroid picture looks like now. I had to remove the background and the filling of the picture, pan/crop and image into the centre of the polaroid and then pre-compose them in after effects and add colour corrections and decrease the overall opacity to around 75-80%. I then added the cinematic i filmed of the swinging hammock and the plants moving in the wind, added some foggy/smoke overlays and a few colour corrections. I added the animated text saying "starring" and it looks great, I'm really pleased with the outcome, however I am going to change it as shown in my evaluation.
Here is screenshot of all the elements from the background to the animated particles. I animated the particles by using opacity, twixtor and cinema 4d. I then add key frames to the positions over to frames. I really like all of the colours of the background and and text. However i think it would be relevant to my genre more and i added a Red colour to the first letters. I also darkened my backgrounds contrast and added a colour correction to everything. I now think it looks better and improved.
Here is a screenshot of the nice title sequence of the falling ink and the text. Down the left hand side is all the pre compositions and elements that are project into the project. None of this is in anyway templated. I animated the text using adjustment layers and various other techniques. I then found the video footage of the falling ink and it was a lot easier to create than it looks.
